Washington Butler was a native Puyallup Washington was always interested in art. She performed at high school theatre and in the community theatre. She relocated from Los Angeles to study theatre at the University of Southern California and then played Belle the princess in Beauty and the Beast for about a year in Disneyland. The year 2008 was the last time she had a part in the web-series Luke 11:17. It was directed by Don Stark. Butler had a role in the web series I Love Vampires and a regular one in Luke 11:17. She won the title of I Spit on Your Grave which is a remake of the 1978 film with the same name. Butler was initially dissuaded by the violence and nudity but the character development and feminist angle helped to convince her. Butler played Jennifer Hills who is a writer, and she gets gang-raped in a wooded cabin. The character is determined to get revenge on her attackers. Steven R. Monroe directed the film which was released on the 8th of October, 2010. Butler began shooting The Stranger Within with Estella and William Baldwin, the psychological thriller in Mallorca, beginning in November of 2011. The film was also set for shooting on location in Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She joined the cast of the feature film independent Treachery with Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012. Butler was featured in The Demented (2013), produced by Michael Welch with Kayla and Michael Welch.
